Christabel waited outside Daniel’s door. He was more than just her boss, he owned the company too. Built it up from scratch. Not a big company, more small to middling. Did that make him a big fish in a small pond?

What did he think was so great about him that he expected her to hang around like this when everyone else had gone home? The cheek of it! She had a life of her own didn’t she? Already he’d made her wait for ages. The cleaners had come and gone. They’d seen her standing outside his office. She was sure some of them had smirked. What did they imagine she was doing there? She began to feel more and more like a teenage girl waiting outside the Head’s study…

‘After Hours’ was hidden away as the second photo fantasy in Janus 128 which was a shame as Christabel was deserving of her own Janus front cover. She certainly looks amazing bending over in those tight jeans!

We are delighted to announce the launch of ‘Encore Janus’, a new series of down-loadable magazines focusing on a popular theme or model from the Janus past. Each magazine will feature full-page, restored images of every surviving photo in the Janus archive and retrospective articles about how some of the most iconic images in CP history were created. 

Jon Rayworth explains: “We’ve been thinking carefully about how to best make our archive content available. We felt that a series of themed, PDF magazines would be the perfect vehicle to release all the surviving images and tell some of the amazing stories behind their conception. We wanted to produce a package that would complement the original magazines and provide those that know the material well with something new and unseen.”  

‘Encore Janus Number 1’ celebrates the 30th anniversary of the St Winifred’s Trilogy. The magazine includes:

• The full set of surviving images from the Janus archive – all 148 black and white photos taken during the filming of the trilogy have been restored and are included here. Many of these images are being published for the first time and none have appeared in this quality before.
• ‘St Winifred’s – The ‘Citizen Kane’ of Spanking Movies’ – Jon Rayworth looks back at how the trilogy came about and, for the first time, tells the story of the man behind many of the classic Janus videos from the early 80’s.
• ‘Who was Stanley Lowe?’ explores the secret history of the legendary St Winifred’s headmaster.
• Other articles reveal the location used for filming and reflect on the first Michaelmas School Dinner for Privilege Club Members, which featured many of the St Winifred’s cast and was staged as a sequel of sorts to the films.
