Just added to the Janus Online Shop are three new spanking magazines. Janus 74, Februs 48 and Blushes 77 are all available to download by clicking on the highlighted links.
We’re delighted to confirm that every issue of the modern run of Janus and Februs is now available online. To celebrate this milestone our hardworking archivist Jon Rayworth has created databases for both magazines. These databases allow collectors to search for their favourite models and photo stories and identify which issues they appear in. Jon has even included details of the magazines in which photo stories were re-visited!
The Janus Excel database can be downloaded by right clicking on the link below and then choosing the option ‘save link as’ or ‘save target as’.
Janus 13 – 167 database of models and photo stories 1.0
Formal photo stories only began in Janus 13 which is why the database starts with that issue. If the database is viewed in Excel the drop down arrows in the black subject bar allow users to search for a specific issue, model or photo story. To re-set the database after a search, just click on any arrows in the subject bar coloured blue and scroll up to select ‘All’. Every magazine, model and photo story will be visible once again.
The Februs database will be available later this week. Eventually databases covering all the stories and authors that have appeared in Janus and Februs will be created.
If you experience any problems using the database or have any feedback you can drop Jon a line at archive@janusworldwide.com
An excellent piece of research!
I’m curious about the St Winifred’s names which have been variously rendered in Janus material.
Over the years, Gilly Norton seems to have superceded Jilly Norton (as originally given in Janus 015).
On the other hand, I’ve seen Blisett (database), Blissett (Encore Janus) and Blisset (Janus 015). Also Beddows (Encore Janus) and Beddowes (Janus 015).
Since St Winifred’s itself appears as St Winnifred’s on the film opening titles perhaps these variant spellings are strangely appropriate but I wondered if there was an authoritative source such as an original script (or if Jon and/or the Janus website just wanted to make a definitive ruling!)
Thanks very much for your post Clive and for your kind feedback about the database.
I wish that we had found a St Winifred’s script – it would have been fun to compare Stanley Lowe’s scripted lines with the ones he actually delivered!
In the absence of a script perhaps we should use Janus 15 as the definitive source for all the correct spellings? When I update the database I’ll make those changes.
Thanks for pointing out all the variants…Jon
