19-year-old Jemima appeared in the Janus 140 photo fantasy ‘Little Scrubber’.

In the accompanying interview she explains why corporal punishment is so important to her. ‘When I want to be cured of incredibly negative feelings the best way I know is to be physically punished. I like to be beaten soundly until tears are flooding my face and my arse is on fire. When the punishment is over and I’m up on my feet again I feel incredibly strong. It’s therapeutic…and it makes me feel horny as hell.’

Blushes 93 was the last magazine of the original numbering system to be published. The photo-story ‘Sophie’s Special Fitting Session’ claims it will continue in Blushes 94, but the next issue to be published was New Blushes Vol.2 No.1 which does include ‘Sophie’s Follow Up Fitting’.

Thanks to the excellent detective work of an anonymous collector, five more missing Janus films have been returned to the archive. The films that have been recovered are Auntie Gets Angry, Drastic Measures, Hot Seat, Naughty Au Pair and Punishment on Reflection.

Fleur Blondel can just about make out the deep voice on the phone. It is muffled by the heavy door but she can hear every word. She hears the receiver replaced and responds with alacrity when summoned to enter Robert Hemmings’ office. The desk separates them but not for long. Her boss stands and tells her to come closer. He is displeased.

‘Fleur, I don’t know what you think you were doing, but my girls do not visit clients dressed as if they were about to weed the garden.’ As he speaks, he tugs at her baggy beige jumper and eyes her jeans disdainfully. ‘This company provides educated, charming, obliging young women to high income business men requiring secretarial or hostess services. We do not supply call-girls or charladies – and we most definitely do not send out students trying to make a few shillings in their spare time which is the image you seem to want to promote.’

She hangs her head. Fleur has heard rumours of how Mr Hemmings deals with girls who let down the reputation of the company…
