Rest assured we haven’t forgotten our other magazines and we’ll be shifting our focus back to Janus, Roue, Blushes and Februs shortly. 19 year old Susannah appeared in ‘Lady be Good’ in Janus 143 and graced the cover of that issue. Although she had never been spanked before Susannah told us that the idea of submitting to corporal punishment was something she found arousing. We are pleased to feature a selection of unpublished colour photos of Susannah’s punishment from the Janus archive. To download a copy of Janus 143 click on the highlighted link.

Many of you will be aware that we have been gradually reconstructing the Janus archive and in the process learning quite a bit about the changes in the way the magazine was produced. Up to and including Janus 139 all photo-shoots were taken predominantly on black and white film with just a couple of rolls of colour. That changed from Janus 140 onwards when photo-shoots were taken only on colour 35mm film.  However, the magazine was still being printed with just six inside pages of colour and that would continue until Janus 150 when the page count for colour was increased to fourteen. It would be another two years though before the entire magazine was published in colour – Janus 161 onwards. The last issue for which actual negatives exist is Janus 156 – from that point onwards all photography was digital.

Fortunately Janus 140-156 is well represented in our archive which means we are able to show you a lot more colour from those photo-shoots now than was originally seen at the time. Russian Gymnast Felicia Morakova has proudly represented her country on nine occasions. Felicia knew she was the best gymnast in the team but it might be said she’d become a little over confident of late. In her delight at being in London for the All Nations Championships she has skipped two training sessions to shop and see the sites. It goes without saying that her coach is not impressed. On her return Felicia is surprised to find him waiting for her…

We hope you enjoy this selection of published and unpublished photos from the Janus archive. On examining the negatives we were delighted to discover some additional unseen images of Felicia wearing a lovely blue leotard. We felt they deserved to be seen.
