I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, the loyal Janus reader. I have received many moving letters from people whose lives my uncle had touched. Many people have written to express their sadness that the decision to close the shop was taken at this sensitive time. I felt strongly that moving onto the web was a natural progression for Janus and Gordon was all for this transition onto the internet, or the “electric interweb” as he used to call it! Some are lamenting the fact that they can’t just drop into the shop and see those old friendly faces of the staff that had worked there for many years. Customers used the shop as a meeting place and some have many happy memories of buying their first magazine or super 8 spanking film there. I appreciate that the lack of personal contact will be sadly missed by many. Therefore, I plan to re-establish The Privilege Club which will hold events and give members a chance to meet some of the people behind the scenes including models! Please let me know what you would like to see from Janus Worldwide. Feel free to email me with your views and opinions at tarquin@janusworldwide.com
